Identify previously entered accounts, investments and loans
For every Wealthica loan/account/investment imported, you will be able to select a loan/account/investment that was previously entered in the MoneyReady App and not already linked to Wealthica. This is a somewhat tricky procedure so be careful to link up the right things.
Your imported Wealthica accounts are on the left, and we’re trying to determine if any correspond to a MoneyReadyApp account previously entered on the right. This is so we don’t lose any of the work you did entering accounts previously for which you may may added additional information, like the owner if you have a spouse, or the age to convert an RRSP for example. When you first started, the app created some accounts for you and did most of the work for you in setting them up. Particularly it may have added AUTOMATIC SAVINGS to those where you indicated yearly contributions to you RRSP/TFSA/Non-registered accounts.
If you select I did not previously enter a corresponding account, a brand new account will be created for you for the Wealthica account being imported. You will then need to edit the account properties for each new account created,, making sure to click Save and Continue on every screen you encounter. Make sure nothing is red, indicating that something needs to be reviewed. Also review any AUTOMATIC Savings entries, as you may want to change the account it's set to the new Wealthica account.
If you select one of the accounts from the accounts in the list as a correspondence, that account will receive the Wealthica investments into it and try to associate them with any investments that were added manually previously. They’ll be a similar page to this one to identify the corresponding investments with ones previously entered.
If you had entered a corresponding account, but it's not listed, select Corresponding account is not in the following list: Additional accounts will be shown when you submit the form. This should rarely happen.
In either case, no data will be lost whatever you do. You can review the accounts you end up with, and delete or modify any one as necessary.
Once you have everything set up, you will not see that page again when you Update Wealthica, unless there were new accounts/loans added in either Wealthica and or MRA that may need to be linked up, or if you unlink Wealthica, and then later decide to link it again.
